This morning we got up and showered and ate breakfast of breakfast sandwiches. Andy and Kathy went to explore the campground. Then we made our plans for the day.... to keep socially distance since the weekend is crowded.... we decided to drive all around the White Mountain National Forest. We packed a picnic lynch and headed out. We drove across the Kancamangus Highway .. of course as Kathy got harassed for the infamous van trip across it... with her gas light on. Those not familiar... its 32 miles long with no gas stations.
The picnic areas on here were packed so we chose not to stop. It was amazing to see how dried up the water was. We ended up "picnicing in a parking lot". We continued through Lincoln up past Echo lake. Then we cut across through Gorham and finally down the otherside. We saw many sights and beautiful scenery.... but NO moose.
When we got back, we had a delicious supper of grilled chicken, anx roasted veggies and potatoes.
The fire was better tonight since we had better wood. We enjoyed some of Kathy's campfire creations.... pizza pockets, apple pies and a banana stuffed with chocolate pudding and marshmallow topped with whipped cream.
It was amazing to see the control they have at this campground, because although prior to 10pm the parties were in full swing... but at 10pm complete silence. Good Night!
Todays question
at which attraction are you chased by the infamous Wolfman?
